Midheaven

The Midheaven, or Medium Coeli (MC), is the point in your chart farthest from the eastern horizon — the cusp of the 10th house in most house systems. It represents what you reach toward publicly: your career, your reputation, the visible legacy of your work, and the way you aspire to be known. Where the Imum Coeli (IC, the opposite point) describes your private foundation, the Midheaven describes what you build out into the world from that foundation. The sign and any planets near the MC describe the texture of your public path. Major transit aspects to the MC frequently coincide with career chapters — Saturn conjunct your MC is often the moment of finally taking on the public responsibility you've been training for. Like the Ascendant, the Midheaven requires a known birth time.
