Quincunx

A quincunx (also called inconjunct) occurs when two planets are 150 degrees apart, sitting in signs that share neither element nor modality. The result is energies that don't speak the same language — they don't fight (squares do that) but they also don't flow (trines do that). They produce a chronic feeling of "how do these two parts of me work together?" — adjustment, recalibration, the need to learn a translation. The orb is tight: typically 3 degrees. Saturn quincunx Moon is a famous configuration: structure and feeling have to negotiate constantly. Quincunxes are most active in transits when an outer planet passes 150 degrees from a natal point — the months around the exact aspect tend to surface a recurring adjustment theme.
