8th house

The 8th house rules shared resources, intimacy, transformation, and what gets exchanged — including death, taxes, and other people's money.

The 8th house is the house of profound exchange: shared resources (a partner's money, inheritances, joint accounts, debt, taxes), sexual intimacy as merger rather than recreation, psychological transformation, and the territory of death — literal, ego, end-of-a-chapter. The sign on the 8th-house cusp and any planets there describe how you engage with depth and merger. Pluto in the 8th amplifies both — transformation as a defining life theme. Saturn in the 8th approaches intimacy and shared resources carefully, often after a slow build of trust. The 8th is the natural house of Scorpio. Modern astrology tends to read the 8th as the house of psychotherapy, deep partnership, and the things people don't discuss at parties — useful, often loud, never light.
