Lilith

Lilith in astrology most commonly refers to Black Moon Lilith — not an actual body, but the geometric apogee of the Moon's orbit (the point in space where the Moon is farthest from Earth). It carries the mythological echo of Lilith from pre-biblical Mesopotamian tradition: the woman who refused submission and was exiled, becoming the symbol of refused, suppressed, or shamed parts of identity that nonetheless retain their power. Your Lilith sign and house describe where you carry an untameable quality, a refusal that can't be domesticated, and often a corresponding social or familial pressure to suppress it. Lilith is most commonly read in modern psychological and feminist astrology; it carries less weight in traditional practice. Note: "Asteroid Lilith" (1181 Lilith, a real minor planet) and "Dark Moon Lilith" (a hypothetical second moon) are different points; Black Moon is the standard.
